Connecting with private jet charters

How car operators meet private jet guests at Lagos private terminals, and why the car and the flight are separate bookings with separate operators.

2 min readUpdated 2 November 2026For operators

Guests flying private often want a chauffeur driven car waiting at the terminal. Pickup lists both services. Each is booked separately, and each operator delivers their own part.

For car operators

Private and general aviation terminals are often different from the main passenger terminal.

  1. Confirm the exact terminal and meeting point with the guest in the app.
  2. Check the terminal's access rules for vehicles. Some allow cars airside, many do not. Follow the terminal and airport authority rules.
  3. Assign a verified chauffeur and brief them on the terminal.
  4. Arrive before the scheduled landing and stay in contact through the app.

Private flight times can change at short notice. Keep in touch with the guest and use extensions if the timing moves. See Handling trip extensions.

For jet operators

You may suggest that guests book ground transport on Pickup, but you do not arrange or sell another operator's service through your listing. Your own Car to the aircraft or Ground transfer extra is yours to deliver. Share clear arrival details, such as the terminal and expected landing time, with the guest so they can pass them to their chauffeur.

Flight operations remain your responsibility as the AOC holder. See Listing private jets.

Separate bookings, separate contracts

  • The car booking is a contract between the guest and the car operator.
  • The flight is a contract between the guest and the jet operator.
  • Pickup is never the carrier for either.

Each booking has its own cancellation option. A delayed or cancelled flight does not automatically cancel the car booking. See When a guest cancels.

Fees

Each car or aircraft booking is priced from what you set for it. The price guests see is all in, including Pickup's service fee and VAT. A commission applies, at the rates in your Fee Schedule. See Commission and fees.

Read the Operator Agreement.
