Discounts are optional. They let you reward guests who book for longer or at quieter times. You fund the discount; Pickup does not.
Types of discount
Long trips. A lower price from a number of hours or days you choose. Boats call it Long charters.
Weekdays. A lower price on the days you choose. Boats call it Weekday cruises.
Early booking. A lower price for guests booking 30 days or more ahead.
Last minute. A lower price for trips starting within 48 hours.
Cars also have Longer-trip prices: a lower day price for a week or more, a month or more, or booking 30 days ahead.
Add or edit discounts
- Open Listings and choose the listing.
- Tap Discounts.
- Turn a discount on, or tap Add a discount.
- Enter your lower price. It can be up to half off your usual price.
- Save your changes.
How discounts show to guests
Guests see your usual price struck through and your lower price, exactly as you set it. The all in total includes Pickup's service fee and VAT, and what they see is what they pay. See How guests see your price.
What you earn on discounted bookings
A discount lowers what you earn on that booking, and the guest price falls with it. See Commission and fees and the Payments Terms.
Tips
- Only discount durations you have allowed in your booking duration limits.
- Keep discounts steady. Changing them often confuses returning guests.
- For one off events, a custom offer may suit better than a discount.
