Extras are optional services a guest can add at checkout. They let you offer more without raising your base rate.

What counts as an extra

An extra is a separate service with its own price. Cars start with Security escort officer, Security escort car, Child seat, Meet and greet board and Wedding decoration. Boats start with items such as DJ, Decoration and Catering. Jets start with Catering, Car to the aircraft, Ground transfer and Extra baggage. Anything already needed to deliver the trip, such as your chauffeur or crew, belongs in your main rate.

Security extras

Security extras have strict rules:

  • They can only be provided by a company holding a valid NSCDC private guard company licence.
  • All security personnel are unarmed. No armed escorts or police escorts are arranged through Pickup.
  • You must add your agreement with the licensed company under Security licence when you sign up. We verify the partner before the extra shows to guests.

See Listing security services.

Add an extra

  1. Open Listings and choose the listing.
  2. Tap Extras.
  3. Tap an extra, or Add an extra to name your own.
  4. Enter the Price, or ₦0 for free, and choose how you Charge for it.
  5. Turn on Offer this extra.
  6. Tap Save.

You can switch an extra on or off, or edit it, from the same screen. Changes apply to new bookings only.

How extras are charged

The guest sees each extra as a separate line before payment. Extras are paid through Pickup like the rest of the booking. You set what you earn for each extra, and the guest price is worked out for you. The detail is in the Payments Terms.
