Security on Pickup is an extra on a listing, never a listing of its own. It is always unarmed. No armed escorts or police escorts are arranged through Pickup.
Who can list
Only operators working with a company that holds a valid Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Private Guard Company licence. We verify the partner before the extra shows to guests.
What you need
- Your company's verification: CAC, BVN, TIN and identity check.
- Your agreement with the NSCDC licensed guard company, and its licence number. You add these in Security licence, in Show you're licensed.
- The partner company's name, if you want to add it.
Setting up
- Complete your operator sign up.
- In Show you're licensed, add your guard company agreement. Tap Skip, no security escorts if you don't offer them.
- Wait for Pickup to verify the partner.
- Add the extra to your listing.
Security as an extra on car listings
- Open Listings and choose your car.
- Tap Extras.
- Tap Security escort officer or Security escort car.
- Set the price and how you charge for it.
- Turn on Offer this extra and tap Save.
When a guest books an escort, add the officer's name and the escort car's plate in the booking's trip pack.
What you cannot offer
- Armed guards of any kind.
- Police escorts of any kind.
- Anything that suggests law enforcement powers.
A guest may travel with their own lawfully assigned, on duty personnel if you consent. That is not a Pickup service. See What if a guest wants to bring their own armed security detail?.
Fulfilment sits entirely with you and the licensed company. Read the Operator Standards and Verification and Compliance.
