Listing chauffeur driven cars

How to list a chauffeur driven car on Pickup: commercial documents, insurance, vehicle age limits, verified chauffeurs, photos, rules and extras.

3 min readUpdated 2 November 2026For operators

Every car on Pickup is chauffeur driven. Guests never drive. Your listing describes the car and the service your chauffeur delivers.

What you need for each car

The app asks for:

  • Hackney permit.
  • Vehicle licence.
  • Roadworthiness certificate.
  • Commercial insurance for hire and reward. This is your own policy. Luxury cars need comprehensive cover, and standard cars need a hire and reward passenger endorsement. This is a hard gate: no car goes live without it.
  • Proof of ownership or lease (optional).
  • Real photos. See Photo standards.

You must also hold your own commercial transport and vehicle licences, and be able to provide commercial registration, your Lagos permit, tracking device data, inspection logs and the vehicle tag. Lagos rules limit a car's age too: no more than 3 years from manufacture when first listed, and no more than 10 years while listed. You are responsible for meeting them.

Every chauffeur who may drive the car needs an NIN and selfie check, a valid FRSC driver's licence, a photo and your confirmation, and must be 21 or over and a Nigerian citizen. The LASDRI card is optional for now. See Adding chauffeurs and crew.

Creating the listing

  1. Open Listings and tap +, then choose a car.
  2. Enter make, model, year, colour, power, body, seats and bags.
  3. Upload the car's documents. Set where it is based and pick its chauffeurs.
  4. Take the exterior and interior photos, then add a title, description, features, highlights and tags.
  5. Choose How guests book, set your prices, long days and extras, your availability and your cancellation options. See Setting your rates.
  6. Set your car rules and trip pack.
  7. Check Review your listing and submit.

Trust and Safety reviews each listing before it goes live, usually within 2 business days. We email you when it is live.

Car rules

Rules guests agree to at checkout, such as no smoking or vaping, no food in the car, and seat belts on at all times. You can add your own. Keep rules clear and reasonable. See Setting listing rules.

Extras

You can add extras to a car listing, such as a child seat, or an unarmed security escort from an NSCDC licensed private guard company. Armed security and police escorts are never arranged through Pickup. See Listing security services.

Staying live

A daily check pauses any listing whose document expires, and cancels its upcoming bookings. Keep renewals ahead of time. See Keeping documents current.

Full requirements are in Verification and Compliance.
