Listing private jets

How NCAA AOC holders list private jet charter on Pickup: aircraft on your operations specifications, aviation insurance, licensed crew, deposits and review.

4 min readUpdated 2 November 2026For operators

Private jet listings are open only to operators holding a valid NCAA Air Operator's Certificate (AOC). Pickup lists your charter service as your agent. It is never the carrier.

What you need

  • A valid AOC, uploaded and verified. No aircraft listing publishes without it.
  • Operations specifications that list the aircraft. Aircraft only permitted for private non commercial flight cannot be listed.
  • A Certificate of Airworthiness and a Certificate of Registration.
  • Aircraft insurance that complies with the Montreal Convention, as your own policy. This is a hard gate per listing.
  • International operations approval, if you fly abroad.
  • Your company named as the operator. You are the carrier for every flight, and you account for the NCAA's charges yourself. Your charter price includes the statutory sales charge.
  • Pilots with an NCAA licence, a medical and a type rating, and cabin crew with an attestation, on Your crew.

Creating the listing

  1. Open Listings and tap +, then choose a jet.
  2. Enter make, model, registration, category, cabin, base and flight crew.
  3. Upload your documents.
  4. Take photos: front quarter, rear quarter, side, flight deck and seating area.
  5. Choose Request to book, Quote on request or both. Set how you charge, per flight hour or per passenger, and your trip types.
  6. Choose your cancellation options and flight rules, for example baggage or dangerous goods.
  7. Submit for review.

Trust and Safety checks that each aircraft and its intended operations are consistent with your AOC before the listing goes live.

Payments and the passenger manifest

  • Booked 5 days or more ahead. A 20% deposit at checkout, then the balance by bank transfer within 48 hours. If the guest cancels, or misses the balance deadline, inside the notice window, the deposit is forfeited, because it covers positioning and lock-out costs. The guest ticks a required box at checkout to agree this.
  • Booked less than 5 days ahead. The guest is charged in full at checkout. If you decline or the request lapses, it is refunded back to the original payment method within 5 business days of Pickup sending it. The bank may take longer.
  • Large amounts. Anything above the single card limit is paid by bank transfer to a virtual account for the booking.
  • The manifest. After paying, the booker adds each passenger's name and passport or ID details. The cutoff is 24 hours before departure for international flights and 6 hours for domestic flights. A booking made later gets 2 hours. Review the manifest in the booking and tap Approve manifest before the cutoff. Infants count toward your seat limit.
  • Your payout. One payment 1 hour after landing, and nothing for a flight that never left. Bookings of 7 days or more pay weekly. See How payouts work.
  • At the terminal. Pickup passes the details on and does not judge passports. Physical checks happen at the terminal. A passenger missing from the manifest cannot board; the flight goes ahead.
  • Crew by role. Guests see your crew by role (your captain, your flight crew), never by name. If the crew changes, the guest is told.

Empty legs

Flying back empty? Under Empty legs on your listing, tap Post an empty leg to sell the flight at a lower price. The leg must depart at least 2 hours from now. It confirms instantly, and it can be cancelled with a full refund if your main flight changes.
