When a car, vessel or aircraft is in for servicing, repairs or an inspection, block those dates so guests cannot book it. An accurate calendar prevents cancellations.

Blocking dates

  1. Open the Calendar tab and choose the listing.
  2. Press and hold a day, then drag across the days you need.
  3. Choose Blocked.
  4. Choose a reason: Service or Repairs for a car, Service for a boat, Maintenance for a jet.
  5. Add a private note if you want one. Only you see it.
  6. Tap Block.

To block part of a day, use Day view and Block hours. You will see a confirmation that your availability has been updated. Blocked dates no longer show as bookable to guests.

For a longer spell off the road, pause the listing instead. It leaves search and your upcoming bookings stay. See Managing your listings.

Removing a block

  1. Select the blocked days in the calendar.
  2. Choose Open and save.

The dates become bookable again.

Plan ahead

  • Block routine services as soon as they are booked.
  • Allow time for the inspection and any follow up work.
  • For renewals such as roadworthiness, vessel surveys or aircraft checks, block the day of the inspection. See Roadworthiness and car servicing.

If a booking already exists

Blocking dates does not cancel confirmed bookings. If a vehicle must come out of service on a booked date:

  1. Message the guest in the app as early as possible.
  2. Offer another of your listings in the app. The guest decides. See Can I send a different vehicle, vessel or aircraft?.
  3. If that is not possible, cancel with the reason. See Cancelling as an operator.

The full rules are in the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
