Private flights can be delayed or diverted by weather, air traffic control, an airspace restriction or a directive of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority. The operator holds the Air Operator Certificate and is the carrier for your flight, and the pilot in command decides whether it is safe to fly.
If the flight is delayed
The operator tells you about the delay in the app, with the new departure time. Stay in touch through messages. If the delay is caused by weather, air traffic control or a directive and you decide not to fly, you can cancel without the usual cancellation consequence, as set out in the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
If the flight is diverted
If the flight lands somewhere other than planned, the operator arranges the next steps with you and updates you in the app. If the trip cannot be completed for these reasons, you receive a refund of the total price, less a proportionate amount for the part already delivered. The operator is not paid for a flight that never left.
Your rights as a passenger
Any statutory passenger rights under the Civil Aviation Act 2022 apply in addition to our terms. Claims for injury or loss of baggage during a flight are made against the operator and its insurer. See Insurance Information.
If the operator cancels
If the operator cancels for its own reasons, we try to rebook you with another verified operator at no extra cost. If that is not possible, or you do not accept it, you receive a full refund. See What happens if my operator cancels?
Connecting transport
If you booked a chauffeur to meet you, message them about the new arrival time. See What happens if my flight is delayed?
