Pickup uses notifications and in app messages to tell you when a booking is confirmed, a chauffeur is assigned and your trip is on its way. If they are not reaching you, check the following.
Turn on notifications
- Open your phone's Settings.
- Find the Pickup app and open Notifications.
- Allow notifications, including sounds and banners.
If you chose Do this later when you signed up, this is the step you skipped. In the app, you can choose what you get in Profile > Notifications.
Other common causes
- Focus or Do Not Disturb modes can silence notifications.
- Battery saver can pause background activity. Exclude Pickup if your phone allows it.
- An old app version. Update Pickup from your app store.
- Signed out. You only receive notifications while signed in.
- Muted. You may have muted the conversation. Tap the information icon in the chat to open Details and unmute it.
Messages from your operator
- Open Messages to see all conversations.
- You can also message from your trip, using the icon next to the operator under People.
- Each conversation shows how quickly the operator usually replies.
If a message will not send, it shows Not sent · Tap to try again. Check your connection and tap it.
If someone sends you abusive or unwanted messages, you can report or block them. See How to report a message, review or user and How to block someone on Pickup.
Emails
Some updates, such as receipts and sign in codes, go to your email. Check spam or junk folders and add Pickup to your contacts.
