Assigning a chauffeur or crew

How to assign a verified chauffeur, captain or flight crew to a confirmed Pickup booking, who can be assigned and why the right person must arrive.

Guests book with confidence because they know who is coming. Every confirmed booking needs a verified person assigned by 24 hours before the start. If no one is assigned, Pickup support steps in.

Assign a chauffeur

  1. Open the booking from Home, or from Assign chauffeur on the alert line.
  2. Tap Assign a chauffeur.
  3. Choose someone from your verified chauffeurs.
  4. Confirm.

The chauffeur is asked to confirm, and the booking shows Waiting, then Confirmed or Can't make it. The guest sees the chauffeur's name, photo and plate the day before the trip.

Vessels and aircraft

Tap Assign your captain for a vessel, or Assign flight crew for an aircraft, where you can pick the whole flight crew at once. The guest sees the crew by role, never by name.

Who can be assigned

Only verified people on Your crew with the right role appear. Anyone with expired papers cannot be assigned until they are renewed. Nor can someone already on another trip at that time, someone over the driving or duty limit that day, or someone the guest has asked not to have again. See Adding chauffeurs and crew.

When to assign

Assign as early as you can. It lets the guest plan, lets your chauffeur or crew prepare, and means the assigned person can see the trip in their own login. See Chauffeur and crew app access.

The person who arrives must be the person assigned

This is a firm rule. If plans change, update the assignment in the app before the trip. Never send someone else in their place. If the crew doesn't match the app, the guest can refuse the trip and is refunded in full. See Changing the assigned chauffeur or crew.
