A guest on an active trip can ask for more time. You decide whether to accept.
When a request comes in
The request appears on the active booking, showing the new end time and what you earn for the extra time. You have up to 30 minutes to reply, and never past the current end time.
- Open the booking.
- Check the new end time.
- Check your chauffeur or crew can continue, and that the vehicle, vessel or aircraft is not needed for another booking.
- Accept or decline.
If you accept, the booking's end time and clock update. The extra time is priced from your listing rates and charged to the guest through the app. The guest sees the cost before it is confirmed.
When to decline
Decline if:
- Another booking would be affected.
- Your chauffeur or crew would exceed safe working hours.
- For aircraft, the extension falls outside your operations specifications or crew duty limits.
The app does not offer a boat more time past sunset, or a chauffeur more than the driving limit.
Declining an extension does not count as a cancellation. The trip continues to its original end time.
Never extend off the app
If a guest asks your chauffeur or crew for more time in person, they should ask the guest to request it in the app. Time added informally is not paid through Pickup, and Pickup cannot help with disputes about it.
