Who can book on Pickup?

Pickup is open to guests who can enter into a binding agreement and who complete identity verification. These are the basics.

To hold an account and book

You need to:

• Be 18 or over. Pickup accounts are not available to anyone under 18.
• Create an account with your legal name as on your ID, your date of birth, an email address and a phone number.
• Pay with a card or bank transfer at checkout.
• Complete identity verification after you pay and before the trip, with a valid photo ID and either a selfie match or photos for a manual review.
• Agree to the Guest Terms and the Privacy Policy.

Booking for other people

You can book for yourself or for others. At checkout, use Who's travelling to choose the lead guest and add other guests. The person who books is responsible for the booking, including the conduct of the group and any damage. See How to add guests to your booking.

Travellers under 18 can travel only on a booking made by an adult, with a responsible adult on board for the whole trip. Pickup never carries unaccompanied minors. Aircraft and vessel operators may ask for ID for every passenger.

When an account may be limited

Pickup may decline, pause or close an account where:

• Identity verification cannot be completed.
• Information provided is false or belongs to someone else.
• The account is used for fraud, abuse or payments outside the app.
• There is a serious breach of the Guest Terms or of Pickup's guest responsibilities.
