A Pickup trip is a booking you make and pay for in the Pickup app. Only these trips come with payment through Pickup, paid to the operator on a fixed schedule after your trip, live trip tracking, in app support and dispute resolution.
What a Pickup trip includes
- A verified operator, and a verified chauffeur, captain or crew.
- A booking reference and full trip details in Trips.
- Payment processed by Flutterwave, a licensed payment provider, and paid to the operator 1 hour after the trip ends (for a jet, 1 hour after landing) if you have not reported a problem.
- Live trip tracking and a shareable trip link.
- The listing's published cancellation option.
- In app messaging with your operator and access to Pickup support.
- Dispute resolution if something goes wrong.
Who does what
- Your operator provides the vehicle, vessel or aircraft and the people who operate it. The contract of carriage is between you and the operator.
- Pickup runs the marketplace: listings, verification, booking, payment, support and disputes. Pickup collects your payment as the operator's limited payment collection agent. Pickup is never the carrier.
- You give accurate trip details, are ready on time and follow the operator's safety instructions.
Keep it on Pickup
If an operator asks you to pay cash, transfer money directly or rebook outside the app, decline. Trips arranged or paid off the platform are not Pickup trips, and Pickup cannot help with refunds or disputes. Report the request through Profile > Help.
Adding time or stops
Extra hours are added through Extend the trip on your trip, so they are priced, paid and recorded properly. Add stops with Add a stop. They must fit inside your booked hours.
