Pickup does not own vehicles, vessels or aircraft, and does not employ chauffeurs, captains or pilots. Every trip is provided by an independent licensed operator. Verification is how Pickup decides who can list.
Every operator
- CAC registration and TIN.
- Identity of the company's directors, checked through a licensed verification provider.
- Proof of its own commercial insurance. No insurance, no listing. Pickup checks the documents and does not sell insurance.
Chauffeur driven cars
- The operator's own commercial transport and vehicle licences, including the Lagos permit.
- Commercial registration and the vehicle tag.
- Roadworthiness certificate and inspection logs.
- Tracking device data.
- Commercial motor insurance: comprehensive for luxury tiers, and a hire and reward passenger endorsement for standard cars.
- Every chauffeur's ID check and FRSC driving licence.
Crewed boats and yachts
- The operator's own licence from LASWA in Lagos, and NIWA or NIMASA as applicable.
- Vessel registration and survey.
- Passenger liability and hull cover.
- A licensed boat master and crew.
Private jets
- NCAA Air Operator Certificate.
- The aircraft listed on the operator's operations specifications. Aircraft only permitted for private, non commercial flight are never listed.
- Cover that meets the Montreal Convention.
- Licensed crew.
Keeping it current
An expired licence or insurance document suspends access automatically. The listing stays hidden until the operator uploads a valid replacement and it is checked.
What you see
- The operator's profile, with ratings, reviews and a Charter Elite badge where earned.
- Your chauffeur's name, photo and plate in your trip details before pickup. Boat and jet crew are shown by role.
Charter Elite is a recognition tier for operators who sustain compliance, ratings, response and clean dispute records. The criteria are published in the Charter Elite Standards, and status is checked four times a year on the last 12 months.
