Visiting Nigeria, or booking for someone who is? You can see prices in your own currency and pay with a card issued abroad.

Choose your currency

Go to Profile > Currency. Pickup chooses automatically from where you are, or you can pick one yourself. Prices are converted at today's rate to help you compare.

  • You always pay in naira. Your receipt is in naira.
  • Your bank converts the payment. Your bank sets its own rate and any charges for this.

Card payments are processed by Flutterwave, a licensed payment provider. Pickup accepts Visa, Mastercard and Verve. Acceptance of a specific card depends on the provider and your card issuer.

Bank transfer

Bank transfer works from any Nigerian bank app. If you do not have a Nigerian account, pay by card. Above the card limit, a payment has to go by bank transfer, so plan ahead for a large booking.

Tips for a smooth payment

  1. Tell your bank you will be paying a Nigerian merchant.
  2. Keep your phone on hand to approve any security check from your bank.
  3. Make sure the billing details match what your bank holds.
  4. If the card is declined, try another card. See Why did my payment fail?

Refunds

Refunds go back to the original card, in naira. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the refund at its own rate. See the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
