Tax invoices for business bookings

Booking for a company? What your receipt shows, how VAT is shown where it applies and how company accounts receive one monthly invoice.

If you book for a business, you need the right paperwork for your accounts.

What each receipt shows

Every booking comes with a receipt showing:

  • the operator's price, with the operator's business name;
  • Pickup's service fee;
  • VAT on Pickup's service fee, where the law requires Pickup to charge it;
  • any mandatory levies; and
  • the total paid.

Download it from the trip in Trips. See How to get a receipt.

Who invoices what

Pickup invoices its own service fee, with VAT where it applies. The operator's price is the operator's own supply. Pickup collects it as the operator's limited payment collection agent and shows it on your receipt on the operator's behalf. The operator is responsible for the tax on its own price.

Company accounts

A company account can, if approved, receive one consolidated monthly invoice for all its bookings. See Company accounts for business travel and the Corporate Terms.

Withholding tax

If your company is required to deduct withholding tax when it pays Pickup, you may deduct it. Tell us when you set up your company account, and send us the withholding tax credit note for each deduction so we can clear the balance.

Correcting a receipt

If the company name or details on a receipt are wrong, chat with Pickup support to ask for a corrected receipt.
