When a refund becomes due, we send it through our payment provider. Here is what to expect.
How long it takes
- We send the refund within 5 business days of it becoming due, as set out in the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
- It goes back to your original payment method within 5 business days of Pickup sending it. Your bank may take longer.
Where the money goes
- Refunds go back to the payment method you used.
- They are made in naira, for the amount due. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts it at its own rate.
- If you cancel, the refund shows any card and bank processing costs kept.
- Any wallet credit used on the booking comes back as credit with its original expiry, not as cash.
Check the status
Open the trip in Trips. The refund amount and reference are shown on the trip, and you receive a notification when it is sent. You can also see refunds in Wallet and payments > Transactions.
If you have not received it
- Check the refund on the trip.
- Allow time for your bank to process it. Banks can take up to 5 business days to show it.
- If it still has not arrived, contact your bank with the refund reference, then chat with Pickup support with your booking reference.
How much you get back
The amount depends on why the booking was cancelled or changed. See How refunds work and the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
