Preparing for your first booking

A checklist for your first Pickup Charter booking: listing, calendar, crew and documents, then what to do when the request arrives and on the day.

Your first booking sets the tone for every review that follows. Prepare before it arrives.

Before the booking

  1. Check your listing. Photos real and recent. Description accurate. Rules clear.
  2. Check your calendar. Every open date is one you can deliver.
  3. Check your crew. At least one verified chauffeur or crew member per vehicle, vessel or aircraft.
  4. Check your documents. Nothing close to expiry. See Keeping documents current.
  5. Turn on notifications so you see requests and messages as they come in.

When the booking arrives

  1. If it is a request, answer in time: within 12 hours of the request, or 2 hours before the start if that is sooner.
  2. Assign your chauffeur or crew straight away, and at the latest 24 hours before the start.
  3. Message the guest to confirm the pickup point, time and any requests.
  4. Brief your chauffeur or crew: guest name, trip details, extras booked.

On the day

  • Vehicle, vessel or aircraft clean, fuelled and ready well before pickup.
  • Arrive early. Wait at the agreed point.
  • The trip starts on its own at the booked time. Let the guest check that the chauffeur, car and plate, or the vessel and crew, match the booking. If they don't match, the guest can refuse the trip and is refunded in full.
  • On the water, every passenger wears a life jacket at all times. Boats return before dark.
  • Take before and after photos of the vehicle, vessel or cabin. See Before and after trip evidence.

After the trip

  • If the guest caused a problem, use the help icon on the booking, or Report or block in the conversation. A report goes to Pickup, not the guest.
  • Rate the guest, and reply to their review, briefly and professionally.
  • Check your payout under Menu, then Earnings.

The standard to aim for

Calm, punctual, discreet, spotless. Meet it every time and you are on the path to Charter Elite.

Read the Operator Standards before your first trip.
